What is the best way to clean sea shells?

I have a big pile of what I believe shells to be mostly verbal, but I'm not sure how to clean, protect and bring all the colors of them. I read that I should soak them in a bleach / water solution for a day or more, then rub in mineral oil. Is correct? Also, I have some silicon spray that I think may be useful for their signature. What will be the method good to follow for this? Also, what would be the best way of climbing back in broken pieces together? Crazy Glue would be good, or should I look for somethign else? Pieces I'm working with beautiful purple consists mainly of within the shell, so that should any special measures to deal with them? One last thing, what would be the way good for their drill a hole thropugh? Do a simple exercise good power, or will have anything specialized to be necessary? I know thats a lot of questions, but thanks for any help you can give.

Sea shells really should not be protected because they are developed to withstand weather. I'd clean them with a nail brish or other soft brush, dry ans they use an excellent sealant to keep them looking wet. Use a dremel tool with a few ceramic and masking tape over the country have so little will not slide. I will use only parts broken as-is. They always will be repaired apparently ..
